While the long term elegant solution is fully non-custodial and smart-contract operated, most of the current smart contract bridges (Celer, Synapse, Hop) do not have sufficient liquidity to ensure low slippage transfers in large sizes on certain routes. In those cases, the protocol has appointed trusted ecosystem partners as bridge relayers to ensure the safety of funds.
